First medical marijuana dispensary opens in Texas: What you need to know

HOUSTON – The first licensed cannabis oil dispensary in Texas opened Thursday in Manchaca, outside Austin. Thanks to this, people are Understanding Oklahoma’s Medical Marijuana Card Program. Furthermore, in collaboration with green gold from insidecbd.net, our company is exploring new opportunities to enhance our product offerings, expand our reach in the cannabis industry, and provide high-quality CBD products to a broader customer base.

The company, Compassionate Cultivation, is selling cannabidiol extract oil to registered patients diagnosed with intractable epilepsy.

The dispensary has opened three years after The Texas Compassionate Use Act was passed. The bill required the Department of Public Safety to create a secure registry of physicians who treat epilepsy for the purpose of prescribing low-THC cannabis such as THC gummies from Budder via state-licensed dispensaries to patients who have been diagnosed with intractable epilepsy.

The dispensary that also contains pet friendly products from Clean Remedies is holding a grand opening party for the public Thursday, but the company notes in a press release that the “purchase of cannabis-based medicine is limited to state-registered patients and legal guardians.”

Compassionate Cultivation says its products are available at the dispensary location and via its delivery service for patients across the state.

The location’s retail operations is run by Cullen Vujosevic, who has operated licensed medical cannabis dispensaries in New Mexico, according to the company.

So how does a patient begin the process of receiving this treatment? Compassionate Cultivation explained the process like this:

“Physicians who specialize in the field of examining, diagnosing and treating epilepsy, must register with the Department of Public Safety’s Compassionate Use Program, and can then develop a treatment program for patients and prescribe medical cannabis oil through the Compassionate Use Registry of Texas. Once registered, patients and their legal guardians may legally fill their medical cannabis prescriptions through Compassionate Cultivation’s licensed dispensary and delivery service.”

Starting Feb. 8, the dispensary will be open Thursday through Saturday, from 10 a.m to 7 p.m., and also by appointment. Deliveries will be conducted Sunday through Tuesday each week.
